Bradley Marc Wiggins is one the celebrated British professional track and road racing cyclist. He is one of the rare cyclists who succeeded in both track and road racing. He has had his taste of success and failures working with different professional teams and has settled for Team Sky as of now. He started his career on the track and gradually moved towards road racing and has achieved a lot in both disciplines.
2012 has been a year of records so far for Wiggins as he won the 2012 Tour De France, becoming the first British cyclist ever to win the Tour De France.
He also won Gold medal in the time trial at the 2012 London Olympics – and occasion that made me enjoy betting with Bet Victor!
Wiggins began his career with track cycling and has won medals in 6 World Championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2008), Commonwealth Games (1998 and 2002) and not to forget the Summer Olympics (200, 2004 and 2008). He then moved from track cycling to road racing to prove his worth in this discipline. He won some the major tournaments in road racing as a time trial specialist leading his team “Team Sky” which includes the recent 2012 London Olympics Gold medal.
He has won many major tournaments in Road cycling that have its record of its own. Wiggins has achieved a rare feat this year by being the only person to have won the Tour De France and an Olympic Gold medal in the same year and has won 7 Olympic medals that includes 4 Gold medals surpassing Steve Redgrave who had won 6 Olympic medals.
Besides his achievements, he also went through a phase where his team Cofidis was disqualified in 2007 as some of his team members were tested positive in doping. But this didn’t stop Wiggins to dream big in cycling as he chose different team and regained his focus towards cycling and today he is the 93rd most successful Olympian of all time.
The latest online betting with Bet Victor makes him the slim favourite to retain his Tour de France title in 2013, and we look forward to supporting him in it!
